Consider/Approve Request from the Ridgemont Elementary School PTO to
Construct a Walking Track at Ridgemont School

Background Information:

The Ridgemont Elementary School PTO requests permission to construct a walking track at Ridgemont School. The School Support Organization has been working with Mr. Don Capps and Mr. Larry Parks concerning the cost and location. Mr. Parks has been working with the Obion County Highway Department to complete this project. The anticipated cost of the entire project is $18,000 to $18,500. The Tennessee Internal School Uniform Accounting Policy Manual provides, “The local board must approve the construction or installation of permanent fixtures.”

Staff Recommendation:

As the request is in compliance with rules, regulations, and policy, I recommend approval of the request from the Ridgemont Elementary School PTO.
